Fourth of July Outreach

For the past few years now, CCPO has had the opportunity to minister the gospel on the 4th. We usually set up in a parking lot downtown. We give out free hot dogs, soda, water, and other snacks. But most importantly we had out many tracts and have many conversations with people regarding their souls and eternity. Praise God, the gospel goes out to many.

Talkin' 'bout the Car Wash

Recently, some of the youth helped at a car wash to raise support for an upcoming mission to Mexico. The weather was great. Cars were clean. And everyone got wet I am sure. Heres some pics to enjoy.

Hello World...ok, only those who know about it

This is the first post for the new "CalvaryPOYouth" blog. Hopefully this sight will keep you updated as to the goings on at CCPO youth group.

Calvary Church's Youth Group is a group of kids ages 12 through 18, and Youth leaders who are seeking to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ and/or to grow in their relationship with Him through the study of the Bible and fellowship with other believers.

The primary objective or goal for our ministry is to disciple and equip youth aged believers in Jesus Christ to live a life of holiness and separation from the things of this world and at the same time to have not only a sincere compassion for those who are perishing without Him, but to have an answer for the hope that is in them, and to be able to effectively communicate it to others.

These objectives and needs may be met through a numbers of activities. First and foremost, our devotion is to God (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit). It is my desire that all would grow in a deeper and more personal relationship with Him; that they would be rooted and built up in Jesus, established in the faith, and abounding in it with thanksgiving. Also, I want to take every opportunity to challenge the youth as Paul did in 2 Corinthians 13:5-"Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you are disqualified." It is my hope that none of our youth would be disqualified in that day.
